Yvette’s Website
I have worked designing branding and websites for small Production companies, influencers, and performers.
Yvette’s site stands out because it required tricky coding and visually integrating various aesthetics to capture her voice as an Artist.
In considering the design, there was a welcome challenge to bring together: developing brand identity that captures a French romanticism that inspired her name and persona, reflecting her eclectic artistry and dynamic performances, all while finding key visual elements (such as the four point diamond and lace) that she incorporates into her costume and accessory design (she creates all her looks, wigs, & make-up).
Due to the nature of her art being performed in nightclubs and theaters, I chose a dark site direction, with a black background to reflect the ambience of a show. By integrating “video bursts” to her pages, they help convey her charisma and performing talent in a way static photos don’t fully capture.
Designing for Drag Artists has been one of the most fun aspects of designing directly for clients, because there are no self-imposed rules (or aesthetic shyness). It is an absolute joy (understatement) designing Drag Artists’ branding and site design.
